A macro view of the intricate and opalescent splendor of a farm pond favorite Bluegill.  Created from a photo of a fine example of the species that I caught on the Chowan River. But I imagine it in this painting as lying in the rough grass next to the Beetlespin it was caught on, by a much younger me, at the family farmpond in Lemon Springs, North Carolina, where my love for fishing first bloomed. Framed in solid mahogany handcrafted by the artist.
